Objective To explore the application value of serum pituitary tumor-transforming gene 1 (PTTG1), thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) and long non-coding RNA H19 (lncRNA H19) in the clinical diagnosis of patients with primary laryngeal cancer and prediction of efficacy. Methods A total of 143 patients with suspected primary laryngeal cancer admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital, Henan Province between January 2016 and May 2021 were enrolled as the research subjects. According to the pathological diagnosis results, the patients with primary laryngeal cancer were set as observation group (n=61), and those with benign lesions were served as control group (n=82). The differences in levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 of the two groups of patients were compared, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 on primary laryngeal cancer. One-way analysis of variance was applied to explore the relationship between serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 levels and primary laryngeal cancer staging in the observation group. The differences in levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 were compared among patients with different efficacy status, and ROC curve was adopted to explore the predictive value of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 in efficacy of patients. Results The expression levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). ROC curve results showed that the expression levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 had high diagnostic efficiency in patients with primary laryngeal cancer (AUC=0.897, 0.896, 0, 968, all P<0.05). One-way analysis of variance showed that the expression levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 were significantly different among patients with different stages of primary laryngeal cancer (P<0.05). The expression levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 of patients in the effective group were lower than those in the ineffective group (all P<0.05). ROC curve showed that the expression levels of serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 had high predictive efficiency in patients with primary laryngeal cancer (AUC=0.855, 0.785, 0.678, all P<0.05). Conclusions Serum PTTG1, TK1 and LncRNA H19 are of high value in the diagnosis of primary laryngeal cancer and predicting the efficacy. |
