Correction Policy of Anhui Medical Journal
I. Grounds for Correction (Corrigendum/Erratum)
Corrections may be issued for minor errors that do not violate publishing or research ethics and do not affect the main conclusions of the paper. These include:
1. Factual errors (e.g., incorrect data in a table that does not alter conclusions).
2. Typos and grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the text.
3. Errors in formatting or style that create ambiguity.
4. Typesetting or layout errors introduced during production.
5. Non-subjective academic errors arising from outdated information or technological limitations at the time of research.
II. Circumstances Not Ineligible for Correction
Corrections will generally not be issued for the following:
1. Changes to authorship (adding, removing, or reordering authors or corresponding authors).
2. Changes to author affiliations, unless to correct a typographical error.
3. Issues related to academic misconduct, which fall under the Retraction Policy.
4. Other circumstances deemed inappropriate for correction by the editorial office.
III. The Correction Process
1. Identification: The editorial office identifies potential errors through internal checks or from feedback provided by authors and readers.
2. Logging: All reported potential errors are logged, including the date, content, and source of the information.
3. Verification: The editorial office investigates and verifies the potential error through appropriate channels.
4. Communication: The outcome of the verification is communicated back to the person who reported the error.
5. Publication: If a correction is warranted, a formal correction notice is published in the journal and distributed to all relevant indexing databases to link the original article.
