Call for Papers: “Medical Debate” Column– A Platform for New Perspectives

To foster academic dialogue and and accelerate innovation in medicine, Anhui Medical Journal officially launches the “Medical Debate” column dedicated to rigorous debate on the pressing, complex, and controversial issues facing our field. This column provides a unique platform for scholars to share academic insights and exchange differing perspectives.
I. Column Mission
The “Medical Debate” column aims to stimulate intellectual discourse, drive knowledge updates, and inspire conceptual shifts in medicine. We invite original, thought-provoking contributions that offer fresh perspectives on contemporary medical challenges and controversies.
II. Submission Requirements
1. Scope & Theme: Manuscripts should focus on hot, difficult and controversial medical issues with novelty, forward-looking value and academic discussion potential.
2. Article Types: No fixed format restrictions. Authors may raise dissenting opinions against existing theories or widely cited publications, supported either by rigorous experimental data or documentary evidence. The main text shall elaborate detailed arguments with cited references; the conclusion shall summarize the full text and put forward prospects or suggestions.
3. Word Count: No word limit, provided the content is substantial and in-depth.
4. Quality: All content must be authentic, accurate and objective; plagiarism or piracy of others’ research results is strictly prohibited. Authors shall conduct self-plagiarism checks and thorough proofreading before submission.
5. Submission Rules: Submit manuscripts via the official website (www.ahyxzz.cn), prefix your article with “Medical Debate”, and specify detailed differences from existing viewpoints and published research results in the submission remarks.
III. Review Process
All manuscripts for the “Medical Debate” column will undergo standardized academic review including initial review, external peer review and final review to ensure overall quality and academic standard.
IV. Publication & Rewards
Manuscripts accepted for the column are exempt from all submission fees and article processing charges (APCs). Manuscripts inconsistent with column requirements will be processed as ordinary unsolicited submissions. Upon publication, authors will receive two complimentary copies of the journal issue and an honorarium commensurate with the manuscript’s quality and impact.
V. Supplementary Provisions
Authors shall protect intellectual property rights and ensure submitted manuscripts do not infringe on the legitimate copyright of third parties. The submitting author bears full responsibility for the authenticity, accuracy and objectivity of the content and all resulting legal liabilities. The Editorial Office reserves the right to carry out appropriate editing and revision to ensure standardization and academic quality of published articles.
