Objective To analyze the clinical features of children with developmental delay including early diagnosis, clinical manifestation, risk factors and prognosis,so as to provide a reference for early diagnosis and intervention for these children. Methods A total of 288 cases of children with developmental delay were randomly selected, with 263 cases of typically developing children as the control group.Investigation was made in the form of a questionnaire survey about early diagnosis, clinical manifestation and prognosis of those children, and the risk factors were analyzed. Results In the early manifestations of those children, the most common was motor delay with 228 cases(79.1%),followed by cognition and perceptual retardation with 31 cases(10.8%).22 cases(7.7%) were emotional communication barriers and 7 cases(2.4%) of language delay.Male gender increased the risk of developmental delay. The newly diagnosed age was 7.80±4.32(2-36) months with the peak in 6-12 months. The risk factors were HIE,premature, neonatal asphyxia and gestational hypertension, and so on.Followed up for 6 months,159 cases of 222 cases(71.62%) were normal and 63 cases(28.38%) were abnormal including 34 cases(15.31%) of children with developmental delay,14 cases(6.30%) of global developmental delay,10 cases(4.5%) of cerebral palsy and 5 cases(0.23%) of autism spectrum disorders. Conclusion Prevention and treatment of HIE,premature, neonatal asphyxia and gestational hypertension can reduce the incidence of developmental delay, hence an early diagnosis and timely intervention should be given to improve the prognosis and reduce the incidence of GDD,CP and ASD,especially those with the obvious manifestations of motor,cognitive/perceptual,language and emotional communication developmental delay. |
