Objective To compare the clinical results of ultra-thin ceramic veneers and porcelain laminate veneers. Methods After one year of the operation, we reviewed 34 patients with 111 restorations in the region of anterior tooth, who were treated in the stomatological Hospital of Anhui Medical University from July 2014 to July 2015, including 54 ultra-thin veneers and 57 porcelain laminate veneers. We recorded the postoperative sensitivity, caries and gingival reaction of the teeth, the color match, marginal discoloration and marginal adaptation of the veneers, and analysed the results between the two groups. All the examinationwas performed by only one doctor. Results The caries, postoperative sensitivity and marginal discoloration were in grade A, the color match, marginal adaptation and gingival reaction of the two groups were in grade A or B, and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion The ultra-thin ceramic veneers have no worse clinical effect than porcelain laminate veneersin a short-term period of time. |
