| Objective To investigate the application state of setrons in a top-three hospital, and to discuss the rationality of medication for rational use of this class of drugs. Methods In aspects of the kinds of setrons, defined daily doses (DDDs), defined daily cost (DDC) and drug utilization index (DUI), the application state of setrons used by inpatients in our hospital in the year of 2015 was analyzed, and the rationality of medication was evaluated directing at 221 cases of medical records, randomly sampled in a 10% sampling rate, in terms of indications, usage and dosage, drug combination, course of treatment, etc. Results In the 221 cases of medical records, medication of azasetron was found in 145 cases, tropisetron in 41 cases, accounting for 64.73% and 18.30%, respectively. There were 35 cases of medical records with irrational medication, accounting for 15.84%. Conclusion The application state of setrons in the hospital is mainly reasonable, but there are still some problems, and further establishment of review scheme and enhancement of usage management are needed for regulation of rational medication of setrons. |
