Objective Toevaluate the value of combination of the diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) and T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) in diagnosis and staging of endometrial carcinoma. Methods From March 2013 to June 2017, 21 patients with endometrial carcinoma confirmed by surgical pathology were collected. The features of DWI and T2WI were reviewed. The invasive depth and extent were judged, and the stage results of MRIwere compared with pathological results. Results Of 21patients, 16 patients were Stage I, lesions appeared inhomogeneous intensity signal on T2WI, slightly hyperintense or hyperintense signal on DWI, and the low-intensity myometrial wall was not invaded; 4 patients were Stage Ⅱ, lesions appeared hyperintense signal on DWI, with interruption of the myometrial wall; 1 patient was Stage Ⅲ, lesion presented markedly hyperintense signal on DWI, with the continuity of outer myometrium disruption; 1 patient of Stage I was mistaken for Stage Ⅱ before surgery. Conclusion The combination of DWI and T2WI can increase specificity and accuracy of endometrial carcinoma, which is useful in diagnosis and staging of endometrial cancer. |
