Objective To investigate the intrinsic capacity of the elderly in medical-nursing combined institutions in Hefei, and analyze the influencing factors. Methods From June to October in 2023, 361 elderly people living in four medical-nursing combined institutions in Hefei were selected by convenient sampling method, and the general information questionnaire, the Intrinsic capacity Questionnaire (ICOPE) recommended by WHO, Frail Scale and the SARC-F Scale were used for investigation. Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of the intrinsic capacity of the elderly in medical-nursing combined institutions. Results The scores of the old people’s intrinsic capacity in medical-nursing combined institutions was (3.27±1.28),the frailty score was (1.4±1.25), the positive rate of screening for sarcopenia was 116 (32.1%), and the score of five items of sarcopenia was (3.04±1.58). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that female, old age, exercise time less than 3 hours per week, taking drugs, falling in the last year, pre-frailty and frailty and positive SARC-F score were the risk factors for the intrinsic capacity of the elderly in medical-nursing combined institutions (P<0.05). Conclusion More than half of the elderly in Hefei’s medical-nursing combined institutions fail to reach a good level of intrinsic capacity. Medical staff should attach importance to the evaluation of its influencing factors, and the staff of pension institutions should cooperate with medical staff and take targeted nursing measures to intervene, so as to maintain the intrinsic capacity of the elderly at a good level, delay the decline of their Intrinsic capacity and jointly build a healthy and aging society. |
