Objective To explore the relation between regular physical activity behavior and blood pressure of the city elderly, which is a reference to effectively improve the level of elderly health. Methods The questionnaire survey, measurement, and mathematical statistics were used to investigate the status of regular physical activity behavior and blood pressure for 1555 old city people in Shaanxi province by training medical students. The elderly were grouped according to whether participating in regular physical activities, sports time, frequency and intensity, then their blood pressure was statistically analysed. Results Grouped according to whether participated in regular physical activities, there was statistically significant difference in the elderly systolic blood pressure(t=35.150,P=0.000)and diastolic blood pressure(t=7.966,P=0.000)between groups; the difference in the elderly systolic blood pressure(F=2.821,P=0.038)and diastolic blood pressure(F=10.126,P=0.000)was statistically significant from groups with different sports time; different frequency groups had statistically significant difference in the elderly systolic blood pressure(F=13.303,P=0.000)and diastolic blood pressure(F=9.678,P=0.000); the difference in the elderly systolic blood pressure was statistically significant in groups with regular exercise intensity(t=2.078,P=0.038).Conclusion Regular sports can help control the level of blood pressure, and have more clinical significance for the improvement of isolated systolic hypertension in the elderly. The elderly should increase weeks exercise frequency and select medium intensity exercise to control blood pressure effectively. The elderly should pay attention to movement time control and fatigue prevention caused by high blood pressure. |
