| Objective To understand the situation of AIDS knowledge,attitude and knowledge sources among in different epidemic regions,providing a reference for the development of AIDS prevention and control strategies. Methods Selected 150 to 200 residents in each area with the form of questionnaire survey by random sampling among high,medium and low areas of the AIDS epidemic. Results The overall awareness rate of AIDS was 84.77%,and the low epidemic areas was 91.61%,high epidemic areas was 78.74%,medium epidemic areas was 86.03%,and the difference between three regional awareness rate of HIV/AIDS is statistically significant(χ2=11.33,P=0.003),over 20.00% of the residents expressed feelings of rejection in hypothesis that eat with HIV infection/patient,buy vegetables from them and school with infected children; AIDS knowledge acquisition source is mainly TV (89.06%),free publicity (64.84%) and newspaper (63.48%).Conclusion The overall level of awareness rate of HIV/AIDS in three areas is high,but the awareness rate of HIV/AIDS in high epidemic areas is still relatively low,we should strengthen the education about knowledge of HIV/AIDS in some areas. |
