Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of clustered calcification in the mammography examination of breast cancer. Methods Seventeen cases of breast cancer patients who underwent mammography examination showed cluster of calcification, the clustered calcifications of the inclusion criteria for calcification of N/S equal to or more than 5 pieceswere recruited in the study, and N/S, position and densityof calcification were analyzed. Results A total of 18 clusters of calcifications were detected in 17 cases, of which 9 cases were located in the upper outer quadrant, 5 cases in the central area, 3 cases within the quadrant, and 1 case in lower outer quadrant. 16 lesions of N/S ≥10 accounted for 89% of the proportion, 2 breast cancer had N/S<10. Of them 17 lesions were sand-like calcification, 1 was granular calcification, 12 clusters of calcification were within a small rod calcification, and branching calcification could be seen in 15 clusters. 18 clustered calcification lesions showed equal or slightly higher density of 10 and a higher density of 8. Conclusion Mammography has important value in the diagnosis of breast cancer with clustered calcification. |
