| Objective To explore the effect of Dermal-fat flaps combined with cross suture support for the correction of severe nipple inversion.Methods Fifteen cases with inversed nipple (29 nipples) admitted toAnhui Provincial Hospital between June,2016 and April,2017were recruited in the study.Dermal-fat flaps were used to support the basement of nipple, and cross suture under flaps combined with tractor was used to pull nipple for four weeks. Then all cases were followed up for 6 to 12 months, the corrective height (preoperative and postoperative height difference) wascalculated and the nipple morphology was evaluated. Results None of 14 cases appeared nipple blood circulation or sensation disorder after operation, so that the nipple inversion was completely corrected.One case showed mild sensation disorderwith left nipple and it was recovered to normal after three months. Among them, twelve cases had good nipple morphology, three cases had normal morphology and no case had bad shape. The average correction height was 0.35 cm. Conclusion In the treatment of severe nipple inversion, the technique of the Dermal-fat flaps combined with cross sutureshow perfect effect with less recurrence rate, which is an ideal method for correcting the nipple inversion. |
