Objective To understand the differences of prenatal exposure to exogenous substances in normal children and children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD). At the same time, to analyze the correlation between the exogenous exposure during pregnancy and the incidence of the ADHD. Methods Two groups of exogenous substances information in children's mothers were collected by self-designed questionnaire. There were 102 children with ADHD treated in Anhui Children's Hospital as the case group from January 2015 to October 2016. In the meantime, there were 105 non ADHD children who had normal physical examination as the control group. Results The differences of case group and control group in the factors of second-hand smoking, heavy metals, noise regular exposure, the prevalence of maternal morbidity and the drug application were statistically significant (P<0.05). The regression analysis showed the main risk factors of ADHD were noise, heavy metals and prevalence of maternal morbidity. Conclusion Maternal exposure of specific exogenous substances is a risk factor for the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and appropriate measures should be taken to avoid harmful effects on the pregnant women, in order to reduce the incidence of ADHD. |
