Objective To discuss the incidence of retinopathy of premature (ROP) infants and the related risk factors of ROP. Methods One hundred and seventy-two premature infants of birth gestational age ≤ 34 weeks or body mass < 2 kg, hospitalized in our neonatal department between Jun 2015 and May 2016, were selected and divided into the ROP group of 14 cases and the non-ROP group of 158 cases according their screening results. The correlation of risk factors such as gestational age and body mass at birth, gender, oxygen inhaling time, apnea, mechanical ventilation, anemia, blood transfusion and broncho-pulmonary dysplasia (BPD) were analyzed within the patients of two groups, and then focusing on those factors with statistical significance, multivariate logistic regression analysis was carried out to discuss the ROP-related risk factors. Results The 8 factors of gestational age and body mass at birth, oxygen inhaling time, apnea, mechanical ventilation, anemia, blood transfusion and BPD were related to ROP development (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that gestational age and body mass at birth, apnea, mechanical ventilation and BPD were associated risk factors of ROP (P<0.05). Conclusion Gestational age and body mass at birth, apnea, mechanical ventilation and BPD are the ROP-related risk factors. |
