Objective To observe the influence of sedative depth on the incidence of delirium after cardiac valve surgery. Methods The study included 30 consecutive patients who underwent cardiac valve surgery surgery from January 2017 to September 2017. The 30 patients were randomly divided into mild sedation group(n=15) and deep sedation group(n=15), according to sedative depth. The indexes of both groups were recorded as follows:age, sex, educational level, preoperative hemoglobin concentration, the time of CPB, aortic clamp closing time, operative time,propofol/midazolam/sulfentanyl dosage during anaesthesia and proportion of abnormal extubation, the propofol dosage during mechanical ventilation and the incidence of delirium. Results Compared todeep sedation group, the propofol dosage and the incidence of postoperative delirium were significantly lower(P<0.05) inmild sedation group. The other indexes were similar between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion The mild sedation maybe helpful to reduce the incidence of delirium after cardiac valve surgery. |
