| Objective To investigate the advantages of transabdominal hernia repair in children oblique inguinal hernia. Methods We identified a series of 132 hernia repair in children from Aug 2013 to March 2017 in Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and the operative method and time, the hospital stay, the cost and recurrence rate were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients were cured. The average operative time,hospital stay and the cost was (25.82±15.31) mins, (2.74±0.72) d and(2 656.92±478.28)yuan respectively. After a follow up of one year for each child, all the incisions healed wellwithoutobservation of cases of new occurrence or recurrence so far. Conclusion Transabdominal hernia repair is a safe method in children cases,which has advantages of high cure rate,rapid recovery,low recurrence rate and cost. |
