Objective To analyse therisk factors of suicidal ideation in young and middle-aged chronic disease inpatients. Methods A cross-sectional designedsurvey and convenient sampling method were conducted in 270 young and middle-aged chronic disease inpatientswith an even hospital number from August 1st to August 31st, 2019. The question "Have you ever had suicidal thoughts in the last week?"was used to determine the incidence of suicidal ideation.According to suicidal ideation, the patients were divided into suicidal ideation group (23 cases) and non-suicidalideation group (247 cases).Univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the possible risk factors of suicidal ideation. Results Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in age, marital status, objective support score, subjective support score, support utilization score and family function score between the two groups (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that marriage status (OR=0.182, 95%CI:0.065 -0.504,P=0.001), subjective support (OR=0.703, 95%CI:0.588-0.841,P=0.000) and family function (OR=0.793, 95%CI:0.658-0.956,P=0.015) were the risk factors of suicidal ideation in young and middle-aged inpatients with chronic diseases. Conclusion Single, lack of social support and lack of family function are the risk factors of suicidal ideation in young and middle-aged chronic disease inpatients, which call for clinical attention and timely intervention in the course of treatment. |
